Glenn has a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science and M.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Toronto. After 14 years working as a petroleum engineer and world-wide consultant, Glenn switched careers to study philosophy and writing at the Objectivist Graduate Center of the Ayn Rand Institute.
As a freelance writer for two years, Glenn had many op-eds published in dozens of mainstream newspapers, including Los Angeles Times, Houston Chronicle, Miami Herald, Philadelphia Inquirer, and San Francisco Chronicle.
Glenn's career in the field of education began several years ago when he decided to homeschool his 9-year-old son along with two other grade-5 students.
Glenn soon realized the enormous opportunity to radically improve the education system and thus began writing curriculum materials for grades 4 to 6. In 2003, Glenn home-schooled his youngest son and two other grade-6 students using the materials he prepared and found them to be a significant improvement over existing curriculum materials.
